CSCI 241: Computer Science I Software Downloads

Directions for installation from Course CD Use these installation instructions if you download files directly from websites, as well.


• Java Download Website
  Choose JDK 6 Update 23. You do not need NetBeans for CSCI-241, but it is currently used in CSCI-242.
  
  
• BlueJ Download Website
  Version 3.0.4 is installed in our lab.
  
  
• ACM Library

  This library contains graphics code used in some labs and assignments. Right-click to download and save.
  
  

• Secure Shell (ssh) Non-Commercial Version

  If you wish to reach the computer lab from off-campus, you must install ssh, which allows you to securely pass information across your modem or DSL connection. Right-click to download and save. See the "How-To-Install from CD" for instructions on how to use.
