Each letter in the above table represents a peer group of students going through the program. For example, students who are eligible to take CS emphasis Foundation courses in Fall 2004 belong to the ``D'' peer group. In the first academic year students in this group take CIS 675 and CIS 725 in Fall 2004, CIS 677 and CIS 745 in Spring 2005, and CIS 775 in Summer 2005. In the second academic year, this peer group takes CIS 580 and CIS 721 in Fall 2005, CIS 790 and an elective in Spring 2006, and finally CIS 780 in Summer 2006.

Students who are elibile to take MIS empahsis Foundation courses in Fall 2004 also belong to the ``D'' peer group. In the first academic year, students in this peer group take CIS 625 and CIS 725 in Fall 2004, CIS 528 and CIS 745 in Spring 2005, and CIS 775 in Summer 2005. In the second academic year, students in this peer group take CIS 527 and CIS 721 in Fall 2005, CIS 790 and an elective in Spring 2006, and finally CIS 780 in Summer 2006.

Students who must take any of the Prerequisite courses (CSCI 241, 242, and MATH 142 or 221) should consult their adviser to determine when to take these courses and how they will fit into this long-range plan.

Note: CIS 624 may be substituted for CIS 527 in the Foundation courses.
